Week 14 (June 20)

Reflection
The beginning of this subject, i had no idea. But now this subject almost done. In studying this way, i had learned a lot the knowledges and skills. Although, my partner and i argued a lot of times. But now i felt apologize and thanks to him. Because of him, he taught me about the clutch knowledges and skills. I also thanks to my lecturer, Roman Kudin. He taught us and gave a lot of ideas to us. When we had no idea with this subject, he patiently taught us. I want to explain what i am learning and study in this subject. First, we had researched what the solution can solve in my project. In the early ago, my partner and i researched the solenoid and made some calculation to make sure it can fit into the vehicle.Because a lot of reasons, the solenoid is not suitable. We failed in solenoid this idea.So my partner and i had to think new idea for replacing the solenoid.Then, we researched on the website and found the solution to solve it. Finally, we found a new idea to solve it. The new idea's using the brake booster to soft the clutch pedal. Then, we started researching information about brake booster on the website. After modified the brake booster with the clutch pedal, we made the calculation when installed these components into the vehicle. But it's not enough the vacuum to both (clutch and brake). We had found a Power Brake Assistance Master Cylinder suitable for our project. It's just a simple tank, but it can extend vacuum capacity. Actually, it's a good idea to extend vacuum. It's no need any electrical to install it. It's just a mechanical and easy to use it only. We used intake manifold provided the vacuum to the power brake assistance master cylinder to clutch system and another hose is directly connected to the brake system. Finally, It's working. I never try these things to solve the problem. This was my biggest challenge and let me learn and study a lot of knowledge. I will use this knowledge in the future.

Week 13 (June 19)

When we finished technology project class, we went to the car park, borrowed my classmate Ericc vehicle and tried our power clutch assistance with his car. First, we unplugged the brake booster hose and plugged the hose into our project, then we started the engine and let it provided vacuum to our project. It's looking very smooth and soft after the engine provided the vacuum.

Week 12 (June 17)

This is what i'm doing in workshop today. i have take some photo to proof what i doing with my partner and i will step by step explain it.

First, my partner and i do a calculation for drilling a hole on master cylinder and clutch pedal.

After finished our calculation, we followed roman went to workshop start our project. When we reached the workshop, roman prepare some appliances ( electrical drill and others)

I start to explain how we do our project.

We using steel utility workshop to holding and stable the master cylinder when we drilling the hole on it.

Before we are start drilling a hole on the master cylinder, we should make some drill marking to drill correct position.

My partner helped roman hold the master cylinder to make it more stable. Otherwise drilling, the master cylinder will shake.

We tried to drill a hole and we swept the dust by duster brush. And now we start drill second hole.

Drilling second hole. Roman told my partner didn't use hand to hold the master cylinder and pass the  hammer to my partner try pressing it 

Drilled the hole had been done. Those screw obstruction the boosters put inside that hole, so now we are cutting project.

After cutting down, we make 2 marking to drill hole in there and we start continue drilling.

We have also made a hole in the top of the clutch pedal to lock the clutch on the wood.

 Do not swing on the wood.

Ta daa. This is what we done in working.

Week 11 (June 6)

I tried wake up early and borrowed tools box from Ericc went to Pick A Park on Tuesday morning. When i reached pick a park and take a photo to show what I'm doing inside.

Starting my researching which car are suitable to our project.

Here you are. I'm choosing this car because it's a manual transmission.

First, i unlocked the master cylinder screws.

Second, i tried to unlock the clutch pedal screws and pin.

Finally, i took it and take a photo to show in my project.
When i back home, i continue researching this components

This thing is called Vacuum brake booster assist, it;s used for increasing the braking power of your car.When you brake suddenly, the product help you brake quickly and safety by increasing  the vacuum capacity of brake master cylinder.

this is what our project build into vehicle.
